Pol Auguste Couronne, founder of the House champagne Pol Couronne in
1887, was born in 1862 in Hautvillers. The region made famous by the significant contribution of Dom Perignon two centuries earlier. Hailing from village called "Pearl of Champagne", Pol Couronne's inspiration is drawn from the village, the specific chalky terroir and the remarkable history that the house has now embraced of its growers and its region.
"This inheritance and his identity, always testifying of the same respect for the
nature, the long-lasting (sustainable) vine growing and the traditional know-how, are in Jean-Baptiste Auguste Prevost's hands today."
