A blend of 45% Premier Cru Chardonnay and 55% Premier Cru Pinot Noir of which 18% is still wine fermented in oak. Ruinart developed the first rose which was followed by Laurent-Perrier. Aromas of sweet ripe red berry fruits-raspberries, strawberries and glace` cherries.
The chardonnay component gives a creamy edge and there is an added smoky richness and roundness from the barrel fermented still wine addition. It is not sweet but this was designed and will appeal to the ladies. It is almost like a bowl of strawberries and cream!
