In 1947, seven well-established and visionary winegrowers came together in a joint quest for ultimate perfection and founded Champagne Palmer & Co. The founders bought its current cellars from a failing Champagne House in Reims in 1959. Over the years, the cooperative has spread past Reims and now owns an impressive 450 hectares of vineyards, over 200 of which are classified Grand and Premier Crus.

A large percentage of Palmer's vineyards are in the Montagne de Reims giving Palmer a unique source of chardonnay in these cooler aspect locations, Blanc de Blancs being one of the stars in the Palmer portfolio. With the lion's share of Palmer's 350 growers' vineyards being located on the Montagne de Reims, its fruit forms the core of this broad blend.

The rest of the grapes come from Côte de Sézanne and Côte des Bar. Bright lemon in colour, with some depth. The overall note is charmingly, sweetly fruity, with an impeccable ground coffee tone adding layers. A complex mix of yellow and red fruit, but there is also a dark spiciness giving an element of interest. The palate is generous, with an age-mellowed velvety texture. However, the overall feeling remains light due to a super-stylish acid line.

Tasting Note: The nose, amazingly clean, is expressed through a rich palette of aromas,
including citrus, pear and apricot with some subtle notes of hazelnut and a discreet touch of buttery brioche.
