Billecart-Salmon Cuvée Nicolas François 2008 – Champagne Gallery
Prestige, Purity and Poise from a Landmark Vintage
Crafted in homage to the house’s founder, Billecart-Salmon Cuvée Nicolas François 2008 is an exceptional vintage that blends Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with precision and grace. Though no longer classified under “Grand Cuvée,” this prestige cuvée is, as described by Antoine Roland-Billecart, a true expression of elegance and intensity from a near-perfect Champagne year.
Tasting Notes
Appearance:
Golden yellow with radiant clarity and fine, chiselled bubbles that reflect its refined maturity.
Aroma:
Layered and complex with orchard fruits, roasted almond, frangipane, and candied mandarin peel, enhanced by delicate floral notes of acacia and rose petal.
Palate:
Tense yet full, with flavours of fresh quince, yellow raspberry, honey biscuit, and lemon caviar. The vibrant limestone minerality leads into deeper notes of fig, liquorice, and subtle tomato. A remarkably textured finish reveals toasted brioche and bergamot.
