Laurent Perrier Brut Millesime 2006
Complex, generous bouquet of toasty bread, dried wildflowers and poached and dried fruits, a fuller, more ample wine with richness and softness, roundness and approachability,
A blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir grapes were harvested from the most prestigious growths from the Montagne de Reims; Verzy, Verzenay, Ambonnay, and Tours-sur-Marne and, from the Cotes des Blancs; Ie Mesnil, Cramant, Oger, and Chouilly.
The nose is intense and complex, with aromas that blend white peach, grapefruit & pears with a creamy palate weight, it finishes with hints of dried nuts and almonds, toast and soft acid. Its acid structure lends itself to being very drinkable now, unlike some earlier vintages where longer aging is possible. The time to enjoy this 2006 is now, and not in years to follow!
