The assemblage for the blend involves 20 different base wines from up to 50 vineyards. The majority of the blend is Pinot Noir (70%) from the Cote des Bar, giving structure and length with Chardonnay from the Cote des Blancs adding elegance and finesse. A minimum of three years on lees before release ensures the wines are at their optimum.
