Henri Abele' Vintage 2006

A blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir creates lovely pale yellow almost straw like presence. Remarkably fine bubbles and a great persistent bead. Richness, power and complexity are hallmarks of the 2006 vintage and this doesn't disapoint.

Both varietals feature strongly on the cuvée’s nose , which starts off with notes of citrus and orange blossom, hints of white stone fruits like fleshy peach before being joined by flavours gingerbread, toffee and roasted almonds. Direct in its attack, succulent and voluptuous it currently positions itself with a slight minerallity and flinty finish but is more forward than back!. makes for great drinking immediately in the short term. will reward with some heartier style or main dishes.
